HEART’s commitment to advocate for housing rights doesn’t stop at keeping people and their pets housed together. We see housing as an inherent human right, and access to food is another inherent human right (amongst other forms of well-being).
Please share this post with your family, friends and neighbors. We call on animal well-being organizations to share this with your community members, and we call on human services agencies to locate nearby pet food pantries to offer to your clients.
Remember that we - as a community - take care of one another. Lean into community care and mutual aid.
